The Shrine at Glorietta Canyon

This is where writer Paulo Coelho from Brazil came to Borrego Springs in search of Angeles . I chose this location at random and was told by 3 hikers that my painting is the exact location of a pilgrimage destination and over the years a statue of a black Madona is placed here. That exact same morning I had been given a holy card of a Madonna by my host family. The moon was just sinking and rings appeared in my paper around the moon. I felt I had witnessed something very special that day painting in Glorietta Canyon.
